This year at the climate conference in Bella Center, Tredje Natur held a workshop
alongside Copenhagen’s Municipality and COWI. The workshop focused on our firm’s approach to urban development and water as an important opportunity, and catalyst for a paradigm shift in the way we produce cities and urban spaces. With experiences from work with green climate adaptation, the Inner City Stormwater management plan, the Climate Neighborhood project and Enghave park, Fleming Rafn Thomsen (Partner in Tredje Natur), held two workshops on May 12, between 14.00- 18.00.

ECCA is an initiative from several large European research projects and other actors. The conference will cover a large variety of questions about climate adaptation and follow the conversations in the climate conferences held around the world. This European conference will focus on the understanding and valuation of climate adaptation under the theme: Integrating climate adaptation in science, politics, and business. There will be several keynote lectures by Kurt Vandenberghe from the European Commission, Hans Bruyninckx from the European Environmental Agency and Connie Hedegaard fra KR Foundation.

From the promoter:
The second biennial ‘European Climate Change Adaptation Conference’ will be hosted in Copenhagen in 2015. More than 1000 participants are expected to attend this event. The conference will offer a unique platform for researchers, policy makers, and businesses to share new research results, novel policy developments, and practical implementation experiences regarding climate change impacts and adaptation, as well as highlight opportunities for business innovations aimed at supporting the transition to low carbon societies.
